How to tell if GHD™ Straighteners are genuine, real or fake.
We will always be confused the Genuineness when we are looking to buy GHD online.
Here we will show you how to avoid buying a fake ghd.This guide is free & is to help out people like you so its important to help promote it and educate others.
Check this picture, you will come across this when looking for GHD's online.

Notice the white lable marked (1) this shows a safety warning of shower head (all items showing this are fake)
Also notice a very small hologram on the white lable roughly 1cm x 1cm aslo shown below in example (b)(No serial numbers, bar code, etc) (fake)
2. Notice the safety booklet is presented in a see through plastic sleve. this is another sign of fake ghds.
Look inside the booklet.... can you see any sign of bad printing.. words and writing not clear? (fake)
3. Notice the wire attached to the iron, marked (3) this shows a short thick end of the wire. whilst the real ghd straighteners should have a more round and longer thick part coming out of the iron. compare to the fake squarish looking one in example (a)

1. notice the booklet comes in two, ( safty instructions & user manual) they are not shiney and not presented in a plastic sleve.
2. notice a longer thicker rounder end of the wire coming out of the iron. comepare this to example (a)

2. check the colour on the box compare to example (d) below. The real ghd straighteners box in this exmaple is more yellow-ish & lighter.3. look at the hologram on example (c) - compare this to example (b).

If in any event the seller fails to answer yes to 3 & 4 of the above then they may be selling a fake!
If the seller fails to show pictures to back up there answers then be awre!
If seller fails to reply to you then be very aware!
And here we have10 other tipsfor you to make out wether it is a real or fake GHD Straighteners:
1. Real GHD Straighteners stylers (applies to Hot Pink only) have a solid pink cord, the cord does NOT have a black ring where it meets the back of the styler.2. The GHD Straighteners styler DVD should have a number code and barcode on the back (compare it to the back of a DVD movie you own, they should look the same on the back). The fake GHD DVD's say DVD R really small on the back of the DVD towards the center, sometimes it is very hard to spot.
3. A real GHD Straighteners styler will have two microchips, one on each side by each flat iron plate. The fake ones only have one (if it even works!).
4. Real GHD Straighteners stylers have very strong, thick boxes. Fake GHD Straighteners stylers boxes often come beat up and are slightly smaller.
5. Fake GHD Straighteners stylers often come with black scuffs on the body of the styler. They are not taken care of very well like a genuine GHD Straighteners styler.
6. Real GHD Straighteners stylers have a date code on the inside of the body of the styler. It should have the year, month, then day.
7. HOT PINK GHD Straighteners STYLERS should come with a card inside of the wrap and roll bag that says "Thou shalt surrender to pink". A fake GHD Straighteners won't come with that.
8. Fake GHD Straighteners stylers often come with the seal loose on the inside of the box. A real GHD Straighteners should be sealed from the outside. (Does not apply to Dark or Pure since they have not been released in the US yet).
For the black GHD Straighteners stylers, the box should be matte, not shiny.
10. Hot pink GHD's should have black writing, not white writing.
